The Role
- Join a small, busy firm specialising primarily in office fit-out projects.
- Clients include landlords, occupiers, and asset managers.
- Ideal candidate: MRICS-qualified with two to three years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Opportunity for rapid career progression for ambitious, hands-on Quantity Surveyors seeking full project ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of projects from pre-contract to handover/completion, including:
- Drafting cost plans, tender documentation, and conducting tender analysis.
- Managing contractor procurement and providing bespoke recommendations to clients.
- Administering contract-related tasks (from design to project close).

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Membership: MRICS-qualified (required).
- Degree: Recognised UK degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or similar (e.g., BSc).
- Experience: 2+ years working for a UK PQS firm post-qualification (reflecting MRICS standard).
- Tender & Procurement: Experience in cost-planning, tender documentation, and contractor tender analysis.
- Contract Administration: Proven track record in pre- and post-contract management, including contract administration.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in tender documentation, cost management, and project completion.
- Familiarity with office fit-outs preferred, but retail fit-out experience will be considered with a transition shown.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication to collaborate across stakeholder levels (clients, contractors, team).
- Attitude: Proactive, hands-on, and eager to take ownership across all project phases.
- Ideal fit: Those wanting to move from larger firms to more autonomy—targeting projects valued between £200K and £30M.
