Chef (Part-Time – 16 Hours/Week) – Compass Group UK&I
About the Role
We are recruiting an ambitious Chef to join Compass Group Healthcare and help create exceptional food experiences for our clients on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). Based in our market-leading food service company in the UK, you’ll play a key role in serving meals that truly enhance the well-being and experience of our customers, while also benefitting from a supportive environment that invests in its team, celebrates individuality, and rewards excellence.

Key Responsibilities
As a part-time Chef, your role will include:
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food that consistently delights clients and customers
- Overseeing and implementing menu changes while ensuring quality and consistency
- Identifying opportunities to improve our food service offerings
- Listening to and acting on customer feedback to deliver continuous improvement
- Supporting the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
- Representing Healthcare with professionalism and maintaining a positive brand image
- Monitoring inventories to ensure kitchens are well-stocked and efficient
- Overseeing kitchen hygiene and cleaning to comply with Food Safety and Health Regulations
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety standards

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, the following would be highly beneficial:
- A genuine passion for great-tasting food and delivering exceptional customer service
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 qualification (or NVQ equivalent)
- Proven experience supervising a team (preferably prior chef/supervisory roles)
- Industry experience in a similar chef/supervisory position
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate
- Flexible approach to working, including adherence to part-time schedules
