Overview
Park Holidays UK is seeking a talented, motivated, and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals that meet our guests' expectations while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires culinary expertise, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the menu and organisational standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and preparation of all ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the highest standards of quality, both in terms of taste and presentation.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to kitchen assistants and other team members.
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, checking deliveries, and ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Monitor food costs and minimise waste through efficient use of ingredients and careful portion control.
- Consider customer feedback and adjust recipes or presentation as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area, ensuring all workstations are clean and well-stocked.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to create and present dishes to a high standard.
- In-depth understanding of food safety practices and procedures, including HACCP and other relevant regulations.
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish prepared.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively to meet service deadlines.
- Willingness to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Passion for culinary arts with the ability to bring creativity and innovation to the menu.
