About The Role
As a Chef at Kingsley Healthcare, you will be responsible for planning and providing daily nutritious meals for all residents while ensuring fresh, budget-friendly food procurement. You’ll uphold the highest health and safety, and environmental standards, inspiring and motivating your kitchen team.

- Plan and prepare daily menus aligned with residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
- Create appetising, visually appealing, and budget-conscious meals.
- Monitor food stocks and place timely supply orders.
- Maintain accurate records of food orders and inventory.
- Ensure safe, hygienic preparation and service of all food.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and service.
- Implement and enforce health and safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including deep cleaning schedules.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Foster positive resident and family relationships, addressing feedback promptly.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Excellent culinary skills and diverse cooking techniques knowledge.
- Nutrition expertise to develop dietary-focused menus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Efficiency under pressure with time management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications Required
- Food Hygiene Certified – Level 2 (with willingness to progress to Intermediate qualifications).
- First Aid Certified.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
