Chef
Full-Time Chef (35 Hours/Week) – 14Forty
We’re actively recruiting an ambitious Chef to join our team at 14Forty, helping us create exceptional food experiences on a full-time basis (35 hours per week).
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in preparing and serving food that truly enhances our clients’ and customers’ days at 14Forty—one of the UK’s market-leading food service companies. Shift Pattern: Typically 4 days in every 7.
Note: A DBS check may be required prior to starting employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers
- Overseeing and implementing menu changes
- Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
- Listening to and acting on customer feedback to ensure continuous enhancement
- Supporting the development of new menus and creative food concepts
- Representing 14Forty and upholding a positive brand image
- Monitoring kitchen inventories to ensure proper stock levels
- Ensuring kitchen hygiene standards are maintained
- Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations

Ideal Candidate Attributes
We’re looking for a passionate Chef with:
- A strong love for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
- Qualification: City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ Level
- Experience supervising a team
- Proven experience in a similar Chef role
- Food Hygiene certificate
- Flexibility to adapt to varied work schedules
