Part-Time Chef – Healthcare Restaurant Team (33 Hours p/w)

As we grow, we’re looking for an ambitious Chef to help create exceptional food experiences for clients and customers in one of the UK’s market-leading food service companies. This is a part-time, 33-hour contract role (5 out of 7 days), based within our Healthcare department.

Here, you won’t just cook—you’ll elevate moments, fuel connection, and make a real impact. If delivering delicious, high-quality culinary excellence while fostering a dynamic, inclusive culture excites you, we want to hear from you.

This role is with Compass Group UK&I, set in White Oaks, where storytelling on a plate becomes part of your team’s identity.

About the Role

You’ll bring your passion and culinary expertise to shape indoor menus and food service solutions for our diverse clientele, supporting national and local teams while setting the standard for excellence in our industry.

We’ll throw you challenges to push your skills, but we’ll never hesitate to invest in you — because we reward ambition and celebrate people who go beyond the plate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
