Chef Role – Contract Catering
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Handle day-to-day food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs to meet site standards and quality
- Manage cooking processes at your assigned station, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and correct use of departmental utensils and equipment
- Monitor inventory and notify senior chefs when supplies (fresh ingredients, catering necessities) are running low
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high-quality food and service throughout shifts
- Demonstrate a passion for street food and international cuisines
- Assist with stocktakes, ordering, and staff supervision
- Ensure compliance with all regulations in a busy team environment
Responsibilities
- Proven experience as a Chef in Contract Catering is highly desired
- Must possess:
- Level 2 qualification in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and listening skills
- Knowledge of food safety policies, including:
- Receiving, preparation, storage, sanitation
- Menu items (recipes, production, and presentation)

Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Must-haves:
- Right to Work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo a DBS or Enhanced Security Check
- Basic certifications (such as City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ)
- preferable: Level 2 Food Hygiene Course completion
- Essential:
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional time management and organisational abilities
