Production Chef Apprenticeship – Level 2 (Full-Time)

About the Role
You don’t need prior experience—we’ll train you everything you need to know. If you’re eager to learn, have a passion for cooking, and are proud to represent us, we’ll show you what it takes to become a vital team member in any kitchen.
This role involves a 15-month Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship while working full-time under experienced chefs. You’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification while supporting the day-to-day operations of our kitchens—delivering consistent quality for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain open, respectful communication with your team to ensure outstanding food and service delivery, supporting colleagues when needed.
- Attend team meetings and contribute your insights to help drive success.
- Prepare, cook, and present food quickly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to our brand standards.
- Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene of kitchen and back-of-house areas with precision.
- Complete departmental setup and closedown tasks, including stock rotation, pre-prepare (prep par) processes.
- Stay updated with business promotions, new products, and operational changes.
- Participate in in-house training, e-learning modules, and assigned learning tasks.
- Strict adherence to brand standards, licensing laws, and company policies/procedures.
- Complete all required documentation, daily/weekly checks, and cleaning schedules.

Requirements
- No prior experience needed—we’re committed to your development!
- Passion for cooking, hospitality, and working in a team.
- A willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and strong work ethic to deliver high standards daily.
Apprenticeship Structure
- Work-based training with face-to-face sessions and bi-weekly remote mentorship calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach.
- Mentorship support within the workplace for guidance and motivation.
- Functional Skills in English & Maths (if GCSE-level qualifications are not already held).
- Progression reviews every 12 weeks with:
- You (the apprentice)
- Your Line Manager
- Your Lifetime Learner Coach (including feedback sessions to track your progress).

Starter Wage
- 16–20 years: £10.85 per hour
- 21+ years: £12.71 per hour
You’ll earn from day one while gaining professional experience, credentials, and leadership skills.
