Qualified Chef Needed – Barchester Bank Chef Role
Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work-life balance and make what you do matter?
This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/“ estaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks.
About the Role
You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavourful, and well-balanced menus while working closely with residents to tailor menus around them. Requirements
Must Have
- A personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
- City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
- Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
- A good understanding of nutrition
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
- Solid knowledge of HACCP principles
Key Responsibilities
- Help manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes at the highest standards
- Contribute to a warm, efficient, and fun team environment
- Operate within budget and complete regular audits
- Manage stock control
- Assist in leading and motivating a team
