Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Must have:
- A personable, warm approach with a genuine commitment to residents’ wellbeing.
- City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts.
- Experience in leading and inspiring a team.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition.
- Hands-on experience with fresh seasonal food.
- Ability to create a welcoming, sunny atmosphere within our homes.
- In-depth understanding of HACCP guidelines.
Responsibilities
Key tasks include:
- Managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Cooking dishes from fresh produce, ensuring high quality and wholesome standards.
- Cultivating a warm, efficient, and fun kitchen environment.
- Adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Completing regular audits and maintaining strict stock control.
- Assisting in team leadership and motivation.
