Are you passionate about cooking and creating nutritious, delicious meals?

Do you enjoy making a positive impact on people's lives through food and hospitality?

At Aurem Care, we understand that mealtimes are an important part of our residents' day. We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team and help provide high-quality meals that support the wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents.

About The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering nutritious, well-balanced meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and service.

This is a rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to engage with residents, understand their preferences, and contribute to creating a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Supervise and support kitchen assistants and trainees, identifying any training needs. Prepare and cook nutritious meals to a high standard. Prepare special dietary meals in accordance with residents' care plans and nutritional requirements. Ensure excellent service delivery at all meal times. Complete and maintain all HACCP documentation accurately. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety. Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control. Assist with menu planning and development. Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly. Manage stock rotation and assist with ordering and stock control. Undertake the responsibilities of the Head Chef in their absence. Carry out any reasonable duties required to support the smooth running of the home.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
