Chef - Bank

Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to achieve more work-life balance while making a meaningful difference?

About The Role

This is a casual, part-time role with flexible working conditions at Barchester Hospitality, one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers. As a Bank Chef, you’ll ensure high-quality catering—without the demands of split shifts or long weeks—while contributing to a person-centred hospitality experience for residents.

Support the Head Chef in crafting nutritious, seasonal menus aligned with individual preferences. Champion quality, collaboration, and wellness in an environment shaped by passion and warmth.

Company Background

With over 224 homes and hospitals nationally, Barchester is growing through new builds and dedicated reinvestment. Your role could be the start of a long-term career, with opportunities to excel in a supportive, oxidative setting—including recognition in our Barchester Hospitality Awards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
