About The Role
Hours per week: Rolling roster (3 on, 3 off), from 07:30 AM to 7:30 PM
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and driven Chef to join our Catering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our outstanding food and drink offering to our clients and site visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring food quality and taste are of the highest standard
- Managing inventory of stock and ordering raw materials
- Controlling budgets and minimising wastage
- Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen
- Preparing and cooking for clients and customers
- Supporting the site in the absence of the Senior Chef
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
The following criteria will help us find our best match:
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Someone who is willing to attain the highest standards possible
- Open to an autonomous approach, yet also teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally holds a food handling certificate (training provided if lacking)
- Background in contract catering is preferred but not essential
- Ideally holds City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, or a level 2 diploma in Professional Cookery (or equivalent), though we encourage those pursuing qualifications too
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of health and safety and food safety
- Shows outstanding communication and customer service skills (direct client and visitor interaction)
- Passionate about food and service with the ability to prepare quality seasonal food
