Chef de Partie - Belper, Derbyshire
We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Belper, Derbyshire DE56 1QN.

We work in office restaurants, independent schools, and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.
Role Details
- Type: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:30am until 3pm
Key Responsibilities
- Join our friendly kitchen team, preparing fresh, seasonal food for around 160 customers each day.
- Work alongside the Chef Manager and Head Chef to deliver a varied food offer including:
- Light breakfast options
- Vibrant lunchtime counter service
- Hot and cold hospitality
- Use quality ingredients to create handcrafted dishes inspired by both local and world cuisine.
- Our lunch service features:
- Freshly prepared hot meals
- Made-to-order sandwiches
- Build-your-own salad bowls
- Jacket potatoes
- Homemade soups and breads
- An impressive selection of desserts and cakes
- Work as part of a team of eight, playing an important role in:
- Food preparation
- Menu delivery
- Stock control
- Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
- Support a range of hospitality events throughout the year, with only occasional evening or weekend events.

Ideal Candidate
- Be passionate about preparing fresh, high-quality food and delivering an exceptional dining experience.
- Have good culinary skills and experience working in a fresh-food kitchen environment.
- Enjoy working with a variety of world cuisines and be enthusiastic about learning new techniques and flavours.
- Have a good understanding of food hygiene, allergen management, and health & safety, with an NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery, Food Safety qualification or equivalent desirable.
- Be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintain high standards under pressure.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with colleagues across the catering operation.
- Take pride in food presentation and maintaining consistently high standards throughout service.
- Be proactive, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a large team.
- Be flexible in supporting hospitality events and promotional activities.
- Be committed to delivering fantastic customer service and creating a positive dining experience for all people on site.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
