As a Chef de Partie at British Pullman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that creates and produces the highest quality cuisine. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious dishes that exceed our guests' expectations. Working under the guidance of the Sous Chef, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing the mise en place required for a smooth kitchen operation and ensuring that the section is set prior to service
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards for the kitchen
  • Ensuring that the quality & quantity standards of preparation and presentation are adhered to
  • Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • Directing, guiding and assisting commis chefs

What You Bring:

  • 1-2 years' relevant experience within a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • A diploma or relevant certificate from a recognised tertiary educational institution
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative
  • Good administration skills and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of food and wine
