Chef de Partie

Overview

Ottolenghi began in a small deli on Notting Hill's Ledbury Road in 2002. From there, we've developed a style of cooking and hospitality rooted in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions, that also draws in diverse influences and ingredients from around the world. Our commitment to the championing of vegetables & unusual ingredients, has led to what some call The Ottolenghi effect- a shorthand for the creation of a meal full of colour, flavour and joy. Over 20 years, we have become a proud family of delis and restaurants where you’ll find vibrant food, low intervention wines, and warm hospitality. We offer lifelong careers, foster talent, and put people at the heart of everything that we do.

About the Role

At Ottolenghi, food is at the heart of everything we do, but people are what make us exceptional. Located within the iconic Bicester Village, our vibrant deli, restaurant and retail space welcomes guests from across the UK and around the world.

As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, supporting the team in delivering exceptional food, and maintaining the highest operational standards. Working alongside talented chefs and the wider Ottolenghi team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills while continuing to refine your culinary expertise.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Take full responsibility for your designated section throughout service.
  • Prepare and cook dishes to Ottolenghi standards with precision and consistency.
  • Supervise and support junior chefs and kitchen assistants on your section.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Manage stock within your section, including ordering and rotation.
  • Communicate clearly with the wider kitchen team and management.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen culture.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
