Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a keen Live-Out Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team here at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort. The role will give you the opportunity to learn and develop in the kitchen, with good potential to progress within the company. You should have high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring food wastage is kept to a minimum. You will be working in one of our many kitchens: Our lively Sports Bar offering pub style food, our Kings Restaurant offering our residents breakfast and dinner, or our Banquet Kitchens where we cater for up to 450 covers on a busy wedding or tribute night. Main Responsibilities Carry out cooking duties during production periods at a high standard, with a main focus on breakfast Produce food which complies with the set menus and high quality expectations Monitor and ensure portion control Ensure the food is stored and labelled correctly Ensure kitchen areas are clean after service Assist the Head Chef with training new staff Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team and Front of House Qualifications Must hold a Valid Right to Work in the UK Level 3 in Food Hygiene (or a similar qualification) - Desirable Level 2 in Food Safety/Hygiene (or a similar qualification) - Essential Training in Food Allergens - Essential Minimum 1 - 2 years experience - Essential Available to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends) - Essential The pay listed is based on a scale and is affected by factors, including prior experience and qualifications.
