Chef de Partie – Bedford Hotel Belfast
The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join its exceptional team and play a pivotal role in one of Belfast’s newest boutique hotel openings.
Who Are We?
The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel housed in the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of Belfast. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining, the hotel sets new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities
As Chef de Partie, you will support the Head Chef in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and effective operation of the kitchen while maintaining the highest culinary and operational standards. Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and upholding high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety, ensuring strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Taking ownership of your assigned kitchen section, managing it efficiently while upholding high standards of cleanliness
- Ensuring accurate ordering, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients in fridges, freezers, and storage facilities
- Following the Head Chef’s specifications to guarantee consistency in every dish
- Supporting the Head Chef in developing and implementing new menus, contributing to culinary innovation
- Ensuring all team members adhere to high personal hygiene and dress codes
- Complying with all operating procedures and reporting maintenance issues promptly using the correct procedures
- Managing budgetary controls to achieve the food gross profit target, including stock control, pricing, portion management, and minimising food wastage

Key Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Extensive experience working as a Chef de Partie in a hotel kitchen
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Passion for delivering high-quality, fresh, and seasonal food
- Ability to operate efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to consistency in food preparation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with staff
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to team success
