Chef – The Punchbowl and Ladle Open Position

Nestled amidst the beautiful woodlands of Feock, on the outskirts of Truro, The Punchbowl and Ladle is a vibrant yet cosy pub where everyone feels at home. Whether you’re stopping for an after-work drink, enjoying a relaxed Sunday roast as a family, hosting a light lunch with friends (and their four-legged companions!), or just grabbing a mid-morning coffee, this traditional Cornish pub has always been a haven for locals and visitors alike.

With roots dating back to the 15th century, the pub has long been deeply woven into the stories of travellers, mariners, and the community. Imagine hearing tales of Cornish smugglers using its walls to stash contraband or welcoming weary travellers from the nearby River Fal for a safe respite.

Recently restored, The Punchbowl & Ladle now joyfully blends modern energy with honest hospitality—where the original charm and proud history stand side by side with a bright, revitalised atmosphere.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
