The Venue

Situated in the heart of the beautiful, historic market town of Beverley, Beverley Racecourse is a picturesque, historic flat-racing venue. From its humble beginnings in 1690, Beverley Racecourse has since witnessed legendary races, hosted royal visits, and fostered a spirited community of racing enthusiasts, making it the perfect quintessentially Yorkshire day out. The racecourse has 19 race days a year from April to September alongside a number of conferencing and events throughout the year.

About The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your section within one of our busy kitchens, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for race days, corporate events, weddings, and private functions. Working alongside a talented culinary team, you will help create memorable experiences through outstanding food quality, creativity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with company standards and specifications.
  • Take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times.
  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
  • Assist with menu preparation, food production, and the development of new dishes and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic working environment in accordance with company procedures.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to take the next step in their career.
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • A passion for food, creativity, and delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Experience working to food cost targets and minimising waste.
  • Level 3 or 4 food hygiene certificate.
