Edrington’s vision is to give more by crafting exceptional ultra-premium spirit brands. The Macallan is our central focus, supported by Highland Park and The Glenrothes in the single malt category. Our portfolio is completed with Brugal rum from the Dominican Republic, Wyoming Whiskey in the American Whiskey category and Valdespino sherry from Jerez in Spain. Our Blend Of Benefits
- Salary: £42,000 OTE (base salary £37,000 plus shift allowance circa £5,000 annually)
- Workload: 40 hours per week
- Holidays: 37 days pro rata, plus 4 Giving More volunteer days
- Pension: Retirement savings with contributions from both employee (up to 8.75%) and employer (up to 14%)
- Share Reward: Up to 10% of salary (subject to eligibility)
- Healthcare: Comprehensive private medical insurance including 24/7 GP access and a menopause health line

At The Macallan Estate, this role is a key collaboration with the Sous-Chef to uphold 5-star service standards and ensure the delivery of unparalleled cuisine. As Chef de Partie, you’ll:
- Work within a dynamic kitchen team with extensive experience in Michelin-starred establishments
- Demonstrate proficiency in specialised culinary techniques for your assigned section
- Operate autonomously with a heightened level of diligence and precision
- Execute exceptional food and service delivery without constant supervision
Make an Impact
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sous-Chef to maintain 5-star standards in service and food quality
- Demonstrate expertise in specialised culinary techniques for your section, following consistent recipes
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to exact menu standards
- Monitor portion sizes and waste control to maximise efficiency
- Work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Foster strong communication with kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations
- Address challenges proactively and solve issues as they arise
- Contribute to menu development and culinary innovation under senior guidance
- Oversee safety and hygiene to ensure compliance with all food-related regulations, including HACCP, COSHH, and distillery controls
Your Talent and Skills
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role with a strong foundation in culinary skills
- Capability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrates expertise in maintaining high-quality food and presentation standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with seamless collaboration across teams (kitchen and front-of-house)
- Effective communication with management, ensuring clarity in objective execution
- Comprehensive understanding of safe food handling, including rotation procedures to maintain freshness
- Professional and personable demeanour, embodying a welcome, exceptional service ethic
- Impeccable problem-solving skills for resolving challenges in high-speed kitchen environments
