Salary: £15.15 per hour

The Role
The Chef de Partie will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the safe and effective running of the kitchen operation, bringing strength to the kitchen team by learning and running a section. The main goals are to ensure, as a member of the team:
- You are performing to the best of your ability
- Food is prepped and delivered to a high standard
Key Responsibilities
- Clear and effective communication with all departments and line management
- Effective time management of self and others
- Delegation of kitchen staff duties to junior kitchen staff
- Effective Safe Food Better Business management and Safe Food practices
- Input for menu and specials board – including weekly specials and function menus
- Food ordering where required
- Operating a strict FIFO (first-in, first-out) stock management system and conducting stock taking
- Running a section, re-stocking, and delivering food efficiently
- Checking deliveries and ensuring all items are accounted for
- Reporting food wastage and maintaining awareness of profit margins
- Reporting maintenance problems
- Ensuring cleaning duties are carried out effectively and safely
- Ensuring all kitchen staff are dressed appropriately
- Following risk assessments and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) practice
- Ensuring smooth service and food is prepped in the correct volume and standard

Who We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen experience required
- Flexibility with the ability to work weekends
- The ability to work until 1st November 2026
- Proactive with strong communication skills
