Oz & Isle Restaurant | The Hobson Cambridge
We're looking for a talented and ambitious Chef de Partie to take a leading role within the kitchen operation of Oz & Isle, the signature restaurant at The Hobson Cambridge. Oz & Isle offers a contemporary dining experience inspired by Australian hospitality, combining quality ingredients, vibrant flavours, and a strong beverage-led concept. The Hobson Cambridge is a flagship property within the TFE Hotels portfolio, part of a growing European hospitality group with more than 20 hotels across brands including Adina Hotels, A by Adina, MM:NT, The Hobson, and The Wellington.
The Role
This isn't a traditional Chef de Partie position. As Kitchen Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day kitchen operation, leading lunch and dinner service, managing stock control and ordering, maintaining HACCP compliance, and supporting the development of the kitchen team. Working alongside a dedicated Breakfast Chef and Kitchen Assistants, you'll play a key role in maintaining standards and driving operational excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
