As a Chef De Partie at the UKRA Resilience Academy, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality catering services, ensuring every meal meets the highest standards while supporting a positive experience for all guests and colleagues.
In this role, your work has real purpose—from maintaining exceptional food quality to contributing to a safe, welcoming environment where people can focus on learning, collaboration, and resilience. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in creating impactful solutions through food, helping to deliver a positive impact on communities and those we serve every day.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards
- Maintain consistent food quality and portion control across all services, both on-site and external
- Assist with menu development, bringing ideas that support innovation and variety
- Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards
- Manage stock levels, support ordering processes, and minimise food waste wherever possible
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality dining experience

Does This Sound Like You?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food preparation
- An Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate (or equivalent)
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- A team-focused approach, with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Vetting and Checks
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, involving verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record. Depending on the role, additional checks such as CTC or SC Security Clearance may apply, including further background checks on employment, criminal history, and financial suitability. There may also be UK residency requirements. Candidates must complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to assess support needs.
