Welcome to The Chequers, a beautiful, traditional country pub serving a fantastic range of real ales, craft beers, wines, and spirits alongside a delicious menu created using the best of British seasonal ingredients. The Chequers boasts a beautiful interior with wood-panelled dining rooms, a traditional snug bar, and a bright, elegant garden room, all overlooking stunning gardens and new bespoke lodges.
Requirements
- Existing Chef de Partie or an excellent Commis Chef looking for their next step
- Passion and flare for producing quality fresh food
- Experience championing excellent service through quality food
- Passion to deliver fantastic food every time
- Active, hands-on Chef de Partie / Kitchen Supervisor
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Active team player with excellent communication skills
- Creativity and ability to help design and deliver new dishes
- Great planning and organisational skills
- Pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth

Responsibilities
- Working alongside your Head Chef, help design and deliver new dishes for menus and daily specials
- Maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
- Engage with both kitchen and front of house teams to drive sales and deliver growth

Our beautiful, traditional country pub is nestled in the picturesque village of Walton-on-the-Hill. We serve a fantastic range of real ales and craft beers alongside a vast collection of wines and spirits; all of which sit perfectly alongside our delicious menu, created by our team of chefs using the best of British seasonal ingredients. We boast a beautiful interior with wood-panelled dining rooms, a traditional snug bar and a bright and elegant garden room, all of which overlook our stunning gardens and our new bespoke lodges. We are the perfect dog-friendly spot to recharge and refuel after enjoying a walk or cycle in and around the local area.
