Chef De Partie – IOD, London
Searcys is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our team at our unique ** Venue at IOD**—a role that goes beyond culinary excellence to become an ambassador for the brand, crafting unforgettable dining experiences and mentoring junior staff.
Our venue, 116 Pall Mall, is a stunning Georgian landmark dating back to 1820, originally designed by John Nash (architect of Marble Arch and Brighton Pavilion). It features a mix of traditional meeting rooms and chandelier-filled ballrooms, perfect for both formal events and refined dining.
About the Role
As a Chef De Partie, you’ll work closely with the Sous/Head Chef to deliver exceptional service across:
- Client dining operations
- Staff restaurants & hospitality
- Conference & event catering
- Training & mentorship of junior kitchen brigade
- Ensuring smooth workflows, hygiene standards, and waste control
Your contributions will shape lasting memories for guests while upholding the highest standards of five-star service and Michelin-level precision.

Job Details
- Hours: Full-time (45 hours per week), Monday to Friday with occasional weekends
- Salary: £36,579 per annum (package)
- Location: 116 Pall Mall, London (IOD Venue)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food to an exceptional standard, supporting senior chefs across various dining areas & events
- Manage Client Dining, staff restaurants, hospitality, and conference food offerings as required
- Assist in training junior staff and maintaining high training standards
- Ensure smooth daily operations, including Hygiene & Sanitation checks
- Oversee waste control and compliance with Health & Safety policies
- Adhere to all legacy requirements, including:
- Fire regulations
- Security protocols
- Licensing standards
- Any Local Authority or Client-specific guidelines
- fulfil any reasonable requests from Senior Management

Requirements & Skills
This role is ideal for candidates who:
- Are extremely organised and adept at prioritising tasks under pressure
- Have experience in a 5-star hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant (desirable but not mandatory)
- Deliver consistently high standards in a fast-paced environment
- Work well in a collaborative team with strong communication skills
- Pay meticulous attention to detail & quality control
