Chef de Partie – Daylesford Stays (The Fox, Lower Oddington)


Daylesford Stays – a part of The Bamford Collection.

Location: The Fox in Lower Oddington (Cotswolds)

EARNINGS: £38,337.50 per annum OTE* *Hourly via 48-hour contract (base: £34,337.50 + c.£4,000 gratuities/service charge, c.£4k annual intermode 2026 for full-timers)

About The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll be a vital cog in our Culinary team, elevating dishes with passion, precision, and creativity. This isn’t just about cookery—it’s about guiding juniors, honing skills, and crafting seasonal, sustainable dishes that blend classical techniques with modern flair.

We’re sourcing our freshest ingredients direct from Daylesford Farm—your dishes will reflect this quality, pensions scheme. Proportionate 4.5% match. Further 10% instigation (if eligible). Mental health support and clearance arranged should partnership rank competitive.

Required:

  • Experience in fresh food kitchens, preferably in fine dining or restaurant environments
  • A genuine passion for seasonal, sustainable ingredients and culinary craftsmanship
  • Reliability under pressure – calm, proactive, and unflustered
  • Precision, organisation, and consistency in execution and presentation
  • Ability to mentor junior chefs while collaborating seamlessly as part of a team
  • Curiosity for culinary trends, tempered by a rock-solid foundation in classical techniques

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute every dish to menu standards with flawless consistency
  • Ensure your station/section is optimised and fully prepared for service
  • Foster hassle-free, professional service flow—efficient yet collective
  • Empower junior chefs through knowledge-sharing and constructive feedback
  • Uphold luxury standards in hygiene, organisation, and compliance
