The Role: Chef de Partie

Join our kitchen as a key player, ensuring flawless execution of dishes while spearheading innovation under the guidance of our Head Chef. Whether you’re overseeing station preparation, refining recipes, or mentoring junior team members, this role is for those passionate about culinary excellence and passionate growth.


Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Execution

  • Prepare and cook dishes to recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef, maintaining food safety at all times.
  • Ensure consistency in presentation, taste, and quality across all dishes served.

Station Management

  • Oversee your designated workstation, managing ingredient stock, supplies, and cleanliness.
  • Lead kitchen operations efficiently, adhering to policies and procedures.

Quality Control & Innovation

  • Uphold rigorous standards for presentation and taste.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop, taste, and refine new recipes.
  • Provide creative suggestions for dish improvements or culinary innovation.

Team Collaboration & Support

  • Communicate clearly with teammates and support all kitchen staff where necessary.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Maintain hygiene, organisation, and equipment functionality in the kitchen.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and cross-cuisine expertise.
  • Robust understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus:

  • Experience working under Head Chef or Sous Chef direction.
