Chef de Partie – Production Kitchen (Luxury Airline Catering) near Heathrow Airport

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our production kitchen team near Heathrow Airport. This dynamic role focuses on high-quality meal preparation for our airline catering clients, ensuring we meet passenger expectations and uphold our culinary standards. The ideal candidate must passionately love food, possess strong culinary skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Reporting to the Sous Chef, Operations, you’ll collaborate closely to prioritise execution speed, quality control, and kitchen efficiency. Your work will directly impact how passengers experience our brand nationwide.
Responsibilities
As a Chef de Partie, your key tasks include:
- Food Preparation & Presentation
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with standard recipes and client specifications.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation excellence across all dishes.

Section Leadership
- Oversee a specific kitchen section, managing responsibilities for station set-up, workflow, and trainee mentorship.
- Allocate duties to junior staff or assistants as required.

Inventory & Cost Management
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control, ensuring ingredient freshness and availability.
- Contribute to waste reduction and support cost-control measures to optimise efficiency.

Food Safety & Compliance
- Strict adherence to food safety & hygiene standards, including storage, handling, and workspace cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Participate in team meetings and propose operational enhancements to food quality or workflow.
- Work with Sous Chef/Head Chef to support daily duties and delegation in larger-scale settings.

Technical Skill Maintenance
- Demonstrate proficient knife skills and proficiency in essentials cooking techniques.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant Experience: 3+ years in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in airline catering or large-scale food production. Experience as Chef de Partie or comparable role is an advantage.
- Education: Culinary diploma or equivalent from a recognised culinary school.
- Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of food safety & sanitation standards.
- Work Ethic:
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational & time management skills required.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and work in fast-paced team environments.
- Work Schedule: Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary Passion: A deep commitment to excellence, with a keen eye for detail.
