Chef Manager
Chef Manager Role – Kent, DA11
Salary: £35,000 Contract: 40 hours per week – day and night shifts (7-day operation)

Key Responsibilities
Express Menu & Culinary Leadership
- Develop and execute mood-aligned menus that reflect customer preferences and operational style
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality standards
- Monitor wastage and portion control

Team Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams (chefs, cooks, HO staff)
- Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
Financial & Operational Stewardship
- Manage an inventory system with a focus on cost-effective stock control
- Develop and enforce kitchen budgeting and financial reporting
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality
Customer Relationships & Feedback
- Engage directly with customers to understand specific catering needs
- Maintain open communication channels to address concerns
- Actively seek feedback to continuously improve service
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Support Head Chef in ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
- Embed food safety protocols as part of operational culture
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with culinary trends and menu innovation
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager in contract catering
- Strong creative culinary skills
- Leadership and team management ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Food cost management proficiency
- Sound knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
