About the Role

BaxterStorey is seeking an inspirational Chef Manager to connect creativity with operational excellence. With £38,000–£40,000 salary, plus world-class benefits, you’ll join a team dedicated to crafting outstanding hospitality. Responsibilities

Menu Leadership

  • Design tailored menus reflecting the corporate or private dining style while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manages portion control and food waste to optimise cost, with daily oversight of food preparation and presentation.

Team Empowerment

  • Recruit, train, and mentor the kitchen team—from chefs to front-of-house staff—providing growth opportunities aligned with company values.
  • Foster a collaborative culture, delivering regular coaching and performance feedback, while maintaining a positive team dynamic.

Requirements

Professional Experience & Skills

  • Proven success as a Chef Manager, ideally in corporate contract catering
  • Exceptional culinary creativity with a focus on quality
  • Strong people leadership skills, proven ability to coach teams effectively
  • Skilled in cost-sensitive operations, including stock management and budgeting
  • Deep knowledge of food safety & hygiene regulations
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, evolving hospitality environment
