About the Role
The Unit Chef will be responsible for:
- Organising and supervising the unit in line with Compass Group UK & Ireland standards, the contract specification, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring the efficient and effective management of the unit to deliver a high-quality service.
- Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and service to meet agreed standards and specifications.
- Maximising the efficient and economic use of resources, including stock, team members, and company assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Good Chef Skills with proven experience in food preparation.
- Demonstrates people management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and customer focus.
- Commitment to accountability, results orientation, and understanding customer needs.
- Proven experience in leading and managing small teams in a similar environment.
- Possesses a valid Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of catering experience.
- Experience in managing multi-cultural and diversified environments.
- Confident with financial management of full catering operations.
- IT literate with basic computer skills.
