Mobile across North Yorkshire

Full time (37 hours, permanent)

We are looking for a Chef Supervisor to support catering services across our Extra Care schemes. This hands-on role involves leading kitchen teams, maintaining high food standards, and providing cover across our four sites when required. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you'll help deliver an excellent dining experience while ensuring services run efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied role, working sociable hours from 8am to 5pm across our 4 extra care sites. If you have experience as a chef, kitchen supervisor, catering team leader or catering supervisor this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support catering teams in food preparation, cooking, and service.
  • Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations across our Extra Care schemes.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance.
  • Support stock control, audits, and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Assist with staff rotas and staffing levels.
  • Train, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
  • Flexible, reliable, and team-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene (or above).
