Job role - Chemical Engineer
Contract - 12 months
Location - Grangemouth
Pay rate - £58.42 per hour via umbrella
We are looking for a Contract Process or Chemical Engineer to join our Process Technology team. You will be embedded in a close-knit, high-performing team working across our Active Ingredient and formulation plants, contributing to projects that span the full engineering lifecycle.
- Continuous improvement projects across synthesis and formulation operations
- Cost transformation and change delivery — finding smarter, more efficient ways to manufacture
- Process design and troubleshooting — from root cause analysis to full engineering solutions
- Process safety management within a robust COMAH Top Tier framework
- Commissioning and start-up activities on new and modified plant
- Applying digital tools, process data analytics, and AI-assisted methods to enhance engineering outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering engineering projects or improvements in a process manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with process safety principles and hazard identification methodologies (e.g. HAZOP)
- Exposure to digital engineering tools, data analytics, or continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is welcome but not essential
