Chemical Regulatory Specialist - Projects
Hybrid Opportunity: Hazard Communication / Chemical Regulatory Affairs Officer or Specialist
An international chemicals business is seeking a Hazard Communication / Chemical Regulatory Affairs Officer or Specialist to join our dynamic team in a project-focused role. This is not routine day-to-day compliance work: your responsibilities will involve streams of research, analysis, and implementation to advance regulatory compliance, develop systems for product stewardship, and enable global market access.
About the Role
You will leverage your expertise in Chemical Compliance, SDS Authoring, and regulatory project management to support the company’s global operations. A core aspect of this position involves:
- Investigating regulatory updates (e.g., CLP classification changes) and evaluating their impact on existing products.
- Conducting raw material data validation and migration projects, ensuring risk-free transition and compliance.
- Collaborating closely with global teams to reinforce regulatory standards across markets.
This is a highly interdisciplinary role with exposure to key regulations across regions, including CLP, SDS Authoring, and preferably REACH.
Not a routine regulatory operational support role—this position requires innovative problem-solving, project execution, and efficient implementation of regulatory adjustments across new territories and product ranges.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
