We are partnering with a global client; a powerhouse division of a large global manufacturer, to find a self-motivated, autonomous Chemical Technician. Location: 100% field-based

Salary: GBP25.18 per hour

Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week), Temporary with strong potential to go permanent

Benefits: Company vehicle and fuel card provided

The Role and Responsibilities

In this 100% field-based role, you will travel from site to site across East Anglia (primarily covering Peterborough and Cambridge), serving as the face of the company. You will work flexible hours within standard business times to support customer assurance plans and assist with setting up new applications.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include

  • Executing required chemistry tests, logging and reporting data, and performing system analysis to ensure customer operations run at optimal levels.
  • Inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining chemical feed systems, process monitoring equipment, and pre-treatment systems.
  • Sampling and managing cooling water, steam plants, closed systems, process water, and wet end chemistry.
  • Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders on-site, managing chemical inventories, ordering materials, and writing technical reports.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • A graduate degree or relevant qualification in Chemistry, Biology, Sciences, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience working with steam plants, cooling towers, closed systems, and water treatment testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and the ability to comfortably learn internal digital platforms.
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who can communicate comfortably and directly with corporate customers.

Travel Requirement: A full, clean UK driver's license is mandatory, as this role involves 100% travel.
