Are you passionate about empowering the next generation of skilled professionals? We’re looking for enthusiastic and skilled Chemistry Lecturers to join our dynamic team at Capital City College (CCC), located in Angel, London.


About the Role: Lecturer in Chemistry

Join our team as a dedicated Chemistry Lecturer, where you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, motivating teaching in Chemistry to BTEC students (Levels 1–3)
  • Develop and enhance curriculum content to meet evolving educational needs
  • Provide academic and pastoral guidance to support students in achieving their goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching

This role operates on a part-time (0.4 FTE – 2 days per week) basis, offering a fixed-term contract (until 9th July 2027).


Role Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess BTEC Chemistry modules, ensuring alignment with Pearson’s classroom requirements
  • Engage, support, and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Help students develop critical thinking, technical skills, and subject knowledge
  • Participate in clinical curriculum development, assessment design, and review processes
  • Contribute to pastoral care and safeguarding initiatives, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and track progress effectively

**About You – Eligibility & Experience

We’re looking for passionate individuals willing to share their expertise, with the following qualities:

  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at FE/post-16 level, ideally with BTEC Chemistry (Levels 1–3)
  • Strong knowledge of a learner-centred approach and academic assessments aligned with BTEC standards
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and enhancing student engagement
  • Preference for those holding a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent) – but enthusiasm and flexibility count
  • Willingness to ** tumorigenesis** by joining a collaborative and dynamic team
