Lecturer in Chemistry – Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Permanent

About the Role
Capital City College is seeking a passionate, skilled Lecturer to join our London-based team, dedicated to inspiration and student achievement in Chemistry.
- Contract: Part-time (0.6 FTE), permanent
- Department: Science/Education
- Primary Responsibility: Delivering A-Level Chemistry under the AQA specification, mentoring students, and fostering academic and pastoral development
- Location: Angel, London
Key Responsibilities
- Teach AQA A-Level Chemistry with excellence and passion
- Design and deliver high-quality lessons, assessments, and resources aligned with AQA requirements
- Support student progression, academic growth, and career development in STEM fields
- Contribute to curriculum development and collegiate innovation
- Engage in collaborative practice with a supportive team of 10 dedicated lecturers
- Maintain excellent classroom management, engagement strategies, and inclusive teaching methods
- Act as a mentor and pastoral guide to students
- Participate in whole-college initiatives, including professional development

About You
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, or emerging educator who:
- Possesses strong expertise in A-Level Chemistry
- Has in-depth knowledge of the AQA A-Level framework
- Demonstrates excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Is committed to inclusive, learner-centred teaching
- Holds a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Chartered Chemist status) or should undertake professional qualification upon appointment
- Can inspire, motivate, and support a diverse range of learners
- Is passionate about STEM education and empowering future generations
- Possesses adaptability and resilience for a dynamic further education environment
