The Church Stretton Chemistries Centre of Excellence specializes in the design and manufacture of silica and polymeric particles for diagnostics, solid-phase synthesis, and chromatographic applications. Our products support a wide range of industries including biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food safety, environmental testing, academia, chemicals, and advanced materials. The products you help manufacture will have a meaningful impact on improving quality of life globally. From supporting cancer and disease diagnostics to enabling mRNA vaccine development and antibody analysis, your work will contribute to technologies that make a real difference.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Chemistry Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale chemical manufacturing processes, producing specialist materials used in life science and analytical applications worldwide.

What You'll Do:

Following comprehensive training, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working in accordance with Health & Safety and Quality Management System requirements (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Preparing, calibrating, and setting up equipment and raw materials for production activities
  • Operating and monitoring large-scale chemical manufacturing processes
  • Manufacturing and processing products in accordance with documented procedures
  • Accurately recording production activities, material movements, and process deviations
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safety within the production environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has an interest in chemical manufacturing. You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Chemistry or relevant experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain high quality standards
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous experience with large-scale chemical processes in a manufacturing or laboratory setting is advantageous but not essential. With the right attitude, practical skills, and attention to detail, our comprehensive training programme will ensure your success.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
