Chemistry Patent Attorney

Leading Intellectual Property Practice Our client, a firm recognised for delivering high-quality work across complex and innovative sectors, is seeking a measured Chemistry Patent Attorney to join its specialist Chemistry and Life Sciences team. About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to build a career within a market-leading team, supporting clients from start-ups to multinational organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and prosecuting UK, European, and international patent applications across chemistry-related fields.
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors.
- Providing expert advice on patentability, validity, and freedom to operate.
- Collaborating with clients to understand technical developments and commercial objectives.
- Handling high-level direct client engagements and relationship management.
- Supporting opposition and appeal work as required.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and team growth.
- Working closely with colleagues across wider IP practice groups and technical specialists.

Requirements
Essential
- Part-qualified, single-qualified, or newly dual-qualified Patent Attorney.
- Strong background in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to engage confidently with clients.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to career development within a leading firm.
