Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for chemistry experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems that reason through advanced scientific problems. Your domain knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and solves chemistry — from undergraduate fundamentals to graduate-level complexity.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience required — just a strong command of chemistry and the ability to think critically and communicate clearly.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging chemistry problems to rigorously test AI reasoning and performance
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise, well-structured logic
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning
  • Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in AI responses across chemistry domains
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Master's-level topics
  • Cover areas such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, physical chemistry, and more

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
