The chemotherapy clinical research nurse role

The chemotherapy clinical research nurse role will be part of the research workforce within the Trust and will support the delivery of high-quality research studies. Our portfolio of oncology and haematology studies is increasing and we are therefore looking for a motivated, skilful and knowledgeable Systemic Anti Canter Therapy (SACT) trained nurse who works well as part of a team. Knowledge of clinical research is favourable but not essential.

The postholder will be an autonomous practitioner working within the multidisciplinary team to deliver in-house, national and international clinical trials. Whilst the primary base will be at the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother hospital within the Clinical Research Facility (CRF), the post holder will be expected to work alongside the East Kent Cancer Research Centre, based at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital which will require hybrid working across all sites. This will require frequent travel between sites.

The post holder will provide specialised clinical nursing care, with a specific focus on the delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapies within a clinical trial setting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
