Job Opportunity: Band 5 Chemotherapy Nurse in Primrose Oncology Unit
Do you want to gain experience in Primrose Oncology Unit and are you willing to work hard to maintain excellent nursing care? An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Chemotherapy Nurse to work in the Chemotherapy suite in the Primrose Unit.
About the Role
The post holder will be responsible for administering and caring for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment along with delivering high standards of specialist cancer and palliative care within the Macmillan Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide specialised nursing care.
- To demonstrate a high standard of practice in assessing, implementing and evaluating patient care.
- The post holder will administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and related treatments following appropriate training.
- Supervise and support junior staff, students and health care assistants and work as part of a multi professional cancer care team.
