Location: Field-Based - Regional Opportunities Across the UK
I am currently working in partnership with a leading healthcare provider to recruit experienced and compassionate Chemotherapy / Specialist Nurses to join their growing field-based clinical team.
This is an exciting opportunity for Oncology Nurses who are looking for a role that combines hands-on patient care with the opportunity to support and develop other clinicians across the service.
The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering high-quality chemotherapy treatments directly to patients while helping to drive clinical excellence, patient experience, and best practice across the wider organisation.
The Role
Working autonomously across your regional area, you will provide specialist chemotherapy treatments to patients within their homes and community settings, ensuring safe, compassionate, and person-centred care throughout their treatment journey. You will administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments in line with individual care plans and clinical protocols, while building meaningful relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare stakeholders.
This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the wider clinical workforce through mentoring, coaching, and sharing clinical best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality chemotherapy treatments in community and home settings
- Administer oncology medications safely and effectively in line with clinical protocols
- Carry out clinical assessments, cannulation, IV administration, and phlebotomy
- Monitor and document treatment responses and adverse drug events accurately
- Support and mentor clinicians within the wider field-based team
- Promote best practice, patient safety, and continuous clinical improvement
- Build strong relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
- Manage your own regional caseload with professionalism and autonomy

Skills & Experience Required
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must demonstrate strong oncology nursing experience and confidence in delivering chemotherapy treatments independently.
Essential requirements include:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Experience administering oncology medications in hospital or community settings
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Competence in:
- IV administration
- Chemotherapy delivery
- Cannulation
- Phlebotomy
- A passion for person-centred care and supporting others
- Full UK driving licence - must be able to drive as this is field based position

Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with any of the following are highly encouraged to apply:
- SACT Passport
- In-house SACT qualification
- University-accredited SACT qualification
- Additional oncology or chemotherapy-related certifications
