Tutors support learners from early years through A-Level, addressing specific gaps, learning styles, and academic goals. The Academy is committed to delivering premium tutoring that is structured, personalized, and results-driven.

Role Description

The Chess Instructor will deliver engaging, structured online chess lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in a part-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Instructors are expected to maintain a professional online presence, use digital tools effectively, and uphold The National Tutoring Academy’s standards for clear communication and individualized support.

Qualifications

  • Strong chess skills, with the ability to teach core concepts, strategies, and tactics to learners at different levels.
  • Comfort with basic Mathematics to support logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and analytical thinking in chess instruction.
  • Proven Teaching and Tutoring experience, preferably in one-on-one or small-group educational settings.
  • Experience in Training learners, including designing structured lesson plans, practice activities, and progression pathways.
  • Excellent online communication skills and the ability to engage students in a remote learning environment.
  • Reliable internet connection and familiarity with virtual classroom platforms and digital teaching tools.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a student-centered approach to supporting diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
  • Relevant certifications in education, coaching, or chess instruction are an advantage but not required.
