Role Description
The Chess Instructor will deliver engaging, structured online chess lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in a part-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role also involves:
- Developing training materials
- Integrating relevant mathematical and strategic concepts
- Communicating regularly with families or coordinators to ensure alignment on student objectives
Instructors are expected to maintain a professional online presence, use digital tools effectively, and uphold The National Tutoring Academy’s standards for clear communication and individualized support.
Qualifications
- Strong chess skills, with the ability to teach core concepts, strategies, and tactics to learners at different levels.
- Comfort with basic Mathematics to support logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and analytical thinking in chess instruction.
- Proven Teaching and Tutoring experience, preferably in one-on-one or small-group educational settings.
- Experience in Training learners, including designing structured lesson plans, practice activities, and progression pathways.
- Excellent online communication skills and the ability to engage students in a remote learning environment.
- Reliable internet connection and familiarity with virtual classroom platforms and digital teaching tools.
- Patience, adaptability, and a student-centered approach to supporting diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
- Relevant certifications in education, coaching, or chess instruction are an advantage but not required.
