  • Salary:
    • £27,976 - £28,650 per annum (~£13.45 - £13.77 per hour)
    • Sleep-in allowance: £46.01 per sleep
    • Attendance bonus: £1,400 per year

About the Role

This position is at Salmons House, a 3-bedded EBD children’s residential home in Middleton Cheney, Oxfordshire, supporting young people aged 13–18.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care.
  • Offer emotional and practical support, helping children develop life skills and build confidence.
  • Assist with daily routines, household tasks, and meal preparation.
  • Encourage participation in community activities, arts, sports, and recreational outings (e.g., day trips, theme parks).
  • Transport young people to school, appointments, and social engagements (a full UK driving licence is essential).
  • Act as a positive role model, establishing trust and setting clear boundaries.
  • Support young people with financial management.
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (1–2 per week).

What We’re Looking For

  • Willingness to pursue Level 3 QCF in Residential Childcare (fully funded by us).
  • Must embody honesty, empathy, and a commitment to being a positive role model. CRITICAL: Must have a full UK driving licence.
