Chief Architect / Chief NPU Architect

Chief Architect – Cutting-Edge Semiconductor Company (CPU/NPU/GPU Architecture)

You will be part of key R&D projects for complex CPU/NPU/GPU architecture in the data centre/server market, playing a critical role as Chief Architect at a leading semiconductor company.

Applicants must have experience leading R&D or architecture functions in HW-SW processor environments.


About the Role

An exciting high-profile opportunity to define and execute processor architecture for high-performance systems. Salary estimate: £150–200,000+ (depending on experience).


Critical Requirements

  • Essential Degree Qualification:
    • BSc / MSc / PhD in Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics, or Computer Science

  • Experience Mandate:

    • 10–20 Years of industry experience in architecture or R&D
  • Technical Expertise Required:

    • Hands-on proficiency in:
      • Hardware/Software co-design
      • Compute and processor architecture (CPU/GPU/NPU/RISC-V)
      • System design and integration
    • Strong modelling and verification skills in: [ \texttt{MATLAB},\ \texttt{Simulink},\ \texttt{C},\ \texttt{SystemC},\ \texttt{UML}% ]
    • High-performance analysis (processor latency, parallelism, efficiency)
    • Embedded software competency in C, C++ (SystemC)
    • Code optimisation experience for CPU cores/accelerators
