Role Description
The Chief Business Development Officer – Customer Care Solutions UK is a full-time remote role responsible for driving growth of customer care outsourcing solutions within the UK market. The role includes leading market entry and expansion strategies, developing and executing business development plans, and building strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.

Day-to-day tasks involve:

- Conducting market and competitor analysis
- Shaping value propositions and commercial offerings
- Overseeing sales pipelines
- Collaborating with finance and operations to design scalable, profitable solutions
The role also involves working closely with CX, operations, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are aligned with client needs, performance outcomes, and Afrizan’s impact sourcing and people-first philosophy. The Chief Business Development Officer will represent Afrizan in the UK market, strengthening the brand, supporting bid and proposal processes, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong Business Development and Sales skills, including experience in winning and growing complex BPO or CX outsourcing contracts.
- Expertise in Strategic Planning and Market Research, with the ability to assess market opportunities, define go-to-market strategies, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Solid Finance and commercial acumen, including experience with pricing models, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
- Proven experience building and managing senior client relationships in UK or international markets, ideally within customer care, contact center, or BPO environments.
- Leadership experience in a senior commercial or growth role, with the ability to collaborate across operations, technology, and HR to deliver integrated solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at executive level and represent the organization externally.
- Knowledge of CX best practices, digital customer care channels, and tech-enabled outsourcing solutions is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; an advanced degree or equivalent executive experience is advantageous.
