I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Set and own the group commercial and growth strategy.
- Drive top-line revenue across the portfolio, and find the cross-sell and synergy opportunities between the brands.
- Build commercial capability where it is thin, including a proper digital marketing engine.
- Instil commercial discipline: pricing, margin, pipeline, forecasting and CRM.
- Shape and originate new commercial opportunities where they fit.
- Work closely with the founder and CFO on the commercial cases that drive returns.
The Ideal Candidate:
A commercial leader with a hunter's mentality. Someone who picks up the phone themselves, gets in front of clients and partners, and opens doors through presence and persistence. Bold but professional, entrepreneurial, and equally comfortable building a premium brand with real substance and reading the analytics behind it.

- Strong at building commercial functions and pipelines from a standing start.
- Credible with founders and boards, and able to hold a commercial argument at the top table.
We are open to a proven Chief Commercial Officer or a strong number two ready to step up.
