About the Role
We operate in a fast-evolving, often ambiguous regulatory environment. As a top-10 global firm aiming for number one, we need a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) who can:
- Manage compliance day-to-day while preserving our reputation as ethical market participants
- Lead the compliance function across the entire organisation
- Translate high-level compliance goals into actionable processes, controls, and execution
This role demands: ✔ Hands-on leadership (set standards, make judgment calls, review details, and remove blockers) ✔ An ability to act in ambiguous situations with incomplete information ✔ Balancing regulatory risk with real-world business needs while maintaining high standards
What You’ll Own
Core Responsibilities

Compliance Framework Design & Execution Oversee the design, operation, documentation, and demonstration of the group-wide compliance framework, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, licences, and internal standards.

Regulatory Knowledge & Strategy Stay current on evolving laws, regulations, licence conditions, and regulatory expectations across key jurisdictions – translating these into practical compliance requirements.

Regulator Interface Serve as the senior point of contact with regulators, including:
- Managing examinations and inspections
- Handling information requests and regulatory filings
- Ensuring clear, transparent escalation of material issues
Risk & Fraud Management
- Own AML/CTF oversight, covering:
- Customer due diligence (CDD)
- Transaction monitoring
- Sanctions controls
- Suspicious activity reporting and risk escalation

- Lead compliance risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Identify emerging regulatory risks early and drive prevention
Compliance Operations & Team Leadership
- Manage the compliance team, covering quality assurance, day-to-day operations, and regulatory compliance activities
- Design scalable, tech-forward compliance infrastructure aligned with business growth
Strategy & Execution

Translate compliance objectives into concrete projects, procedures, and team deliverables

Advise Legal, Business Development, Trading Operations, and leadership on regulatory risks and risk trade-offs

Mentor & develop the compliance team, setting priorities while maintaining high execution standards
What We Look For

- Securities laws

✔ Detail-Oriented Ensure accuracy, reduce errors, and deliver reliable work.
✔ Structured Communicator Clarify complex compliance issues for all levels of the organisation.
✔ Dependable Leader Set expectations, hold teams accountable, and foster high performance.
✔ Direct Stakeholder Communication Explain regulatory risks and requirements—even in off-message moments clearly.
Your Profile
Essential Experience (7+ Years)
- At least 3 years of team management (compliance-focused)
- Multi-jurisdictional experience managing:
- Trading frameworks
- AML/CTF controls (CDD, transaction monitoring, SARs)
- Senior regulatory roles at financial institutions
